Evil Email Privacy Statement

What personally identifiable information does Evilemail collect from me?
Personal information is collected for billing of your evilemail account.  That
information is only used for the billing process.  We do not store your credit card
on our servers.  We do maintain an alternate email account from you so we can contact
you if you lose your password and your contact info to verify billing if an issue arises.

If you would like to keep this information private and you still want an evilemail
account.  You can send a check or money order in USD to

to cover the account creation costs.  Obviously a check will reveal that
information so a money order would probably be the best.

If we are helping you with a problem we may verify or request additional
information at that time. Never give out any personal information to someone claiming that
they are from Evilemail unless you sent email to them first and your original email is
quoted in the message.


What are cookies and how does Evilemail use them?
As part of offering and providing customizable and personalized services, Evilemail uses
cookies to store and sometimes track information about you. A cookie is a small amount of
data that is sent to your browser from a web server and stored on your computer’s hard
drive. All sites on Evilemail where you are prompted to log-in or that are customizable
require that you accept cookies.

Generally, we use cookies to remind us of who you are and to access your account information (stored on our
computers) in order to deliver to you a better and more personalized service. This cookie
is set when you register or “Sign In” and is modified when you “Sign
Out” of our services. 

If you previously signed up as a free account, and have banner ads on your mail,
advertising networks that serve ads onto Evilemail may also use their own cookies.

Evilemail also collects IP addresses for system administration. In addition, Evilemail
connects your original signup with an IP address. This address is never included in any
outgoing email.


How does Evilemail use my information?
Evilemail does research on our users’ demographics, interests, and behavior based on the
information provided to us. We do this to better understand and serve our users. This
research is compiled and analyzed on an aggregated basis. Evilemail does NOT
share this aggregated data with advertisers or business partners past the number of users.
We never connect a user directly with this information for advertising purposes.


Who is collecting information?
Evilemail alone collects information on this site. The domains offered on this site may
have privacy policies that differ with this sites. The domains offered are not able to
collect any additional information on any user. The personal information of a user is
never given to a domain owner. The information needed to continue to offer service to the
user would only be given to the domain owner if they leave our service.  For
previously free accounts, outside advertisers may submit cookies to your browser but
Evilemail never gives them access to our collected information.


With whom does Evilemail share my information?
As a general rule, Evilemail will not disclose any of your personally identifiable
information except when we have your permission or under special circumstances, such as
when we believe in good faith that the law requires it or under the circumstances

What security precautions are in place to protect the loss, misuse, or alteration
of my information?

Your Evilemail Account Information and Evilemail Profile are password-protected so that
you and only you have access to this personal information. You may edit your Evilemail
Account Information by using your Evilemail ID and password.

We recommend that you do not divulge your password to anyone. Evilemail will never ask you
for your password in an unsolicited phone call or in an unsolicited email. Also remember
to sign out of your Evilemail account and close your browser window when you have finished
your work. This is to ensure that others cannot access your personal information and
correspondence if you share a computer with someone else or are using a computer in a
public place like a library or Internet cafe.

As a global company Evilemail has international users all over the world. When you give
Evilemail personal information, that information may be sent electronically to servers
outside of the country where you originally entered the information, such as to the United
States or other countries. In addition, that information may be used, stored and processed
outside of the country where you entered that information. Whenever Evilemail handles
personal information as described above, regardless of where this occurs, Evilemail takes
steps to ensure that your information is treated securely and in accordance with the
relevant Terms of Service and this Privacy Policy.

Unfortunately, no data transmission over the Internet can be guaranteed to be 100% secure.
As a result, while we strive to protect your personal information, Evilemail cannot ensure
or warrant the security of any information you transmit to us or from our online products
or services, and you do so at your own risk. Once we receive your transmission, we make
our best effort to ensure its security on our systems.


What about children’s privacy?
Evilemail is a website for adults. We ask only people over
the age of 18 use our services.


What about Logs?
Evilemail retains its smtp and pop3 logs for 7-10 days.  These logs are deleted after
this time unless there are extenuating circumstances that require use to keep these logs.


What else should I know about my privacy?
Please keep in mind that whenever you voluntarily disclose personal information online –
for example on message boards, through email, or in chat areas – that information can be
collected and used by others. In short, if you post personal information online that is
accessible to the public, you may receive unsolicited messages from other parties in
