Fire flames isolated on white backgroundMost businesses experience ebb and flow.  One month we are run off our feet, and the next, not quite so much.  One month it’s champagne, the next, beer.

This article looks at ways to ensure a more consistent approach and result in our business – so it’s champagne every month!

  • Building a long term sustainable business takes time.  Momentum doesn’t just happen; you have to work at it.  Take it one step at a time and understand the work you do today might not reap rewards for a week or perhaps even a month.  If you remain consistent, however, your hard work will pay off.
    1. Leave your excuses at the door.  Make your To Do List and stick to it.  It will be these simple – and sometimes mundane – tasks that you perform that will help build momentum.
    1. Stay focused.  Remember the reasons why you started your own business in the first place.  Do not waver from your goals and do not let circumstances overwhelm or sway you.
    1. Set goals.  Well actually, don’t just set them; work them as well.  Set yourself daily or weekly activities that are attainable and reachable.  Do whatever it takes to keep moving forward towards your goals.
    1. Remain flexible.  Certainly we all need goals, but we also need to be open to other opportunities that present themselves along the way.  Stay flexible and remain open and alert to situations and people who can offer assistance.

Follow these simple steps and you will be well on your way to achieving success in your business.  Set goals, stay focused, remain flexible and build momentum.  Most importantly, have fun.  Enjoy what you do and make time to stop and smell the flowers along the way.

If you have any tips that you’d like to share, we’d love to hear from you.

    To your every success!
